Lesson 3 – A3
Tango Argentino – quarter accompaniment and syncopation
Contents: Tango Argentino is introduced as a style of music and dance. The left hand plays quarter notes, which form the rhythmic foundation, while the right hand plays rhythmically syncopated melodies.
Exercise: The left hand first practises simple quarter notes to create a stable rhythmic foundation. The syncopations are then added in the right hand.
Aim: To strengthen rhythmic independence and precision in syncopated melodies.
