Minor keys – introduction and comparison with major keys

Contents: Introduction to the different minor scales: natural, harmonic and melodic minor. The C major scale and the parallel A minor scale are analyzed.

Exercise: The A minor scale is practiced up and down, first as a natural minor and then as a harmonic and melodic minor. The focus is on confidently distinguishing and using the different minor variants.

Learning objective: Understanding the differences between the minor scales and confident use of the different types in playing.
